Great courses mystery

is it just me....whenever I’m thumbing through a magazine and I see that ad for Great Course-be it on world religions or learning the art of ancient tai chi-I always immediately look at the instructors name; always. But why?...I don’t know....is it for some sort of name recognition, some intimate degree of separation, or my internal LinkedIn tallying system?..I just don’t know...
